Missing Punch-Outs in Attendance Integration

I have successfully integrated biometric machine data with ERPNext, enabling seamless retrieval of Employee Checkin records. Additionally, the Auto Attendance feature pulls data from the Shift Type doctype to generate attendance records automatically.

However, a recurring challenge arises when certain employees forget to Punch Out at the end of the day. As a result, their Employee Checkin records only display the IN time. In such cases, what should be the appropriate Attendance Status to reflect this scenario accurately?

Hi,

It depends on your company policy. If you want to mark absent/present for the single punch, you can adjust the “Working Hours Threshold for Absent” parameters in the Shift Type.
