Mode of payment is not recorded

Mode of payment is not recorded in database or list inside the report the after you make payment for sales invoice
so the acount report of { item wise sales register } \cannot short the mode of payment field

after select the mode of payment, all blank

Seems to be working fine in the test account. Please refer the attached GIF.

are you using the lastest version?
i see the report column details is not same with mine
mine have territory column , and the customer > customer id, seems like different version
