Hello everyone, 
Over the past couple of years, we have been hearing one demand regularly from Frappe developers - “Give me cheaper VMs on Frappe Cloud”. Developers clearly love the Frappe Cloud experience, but don’t want to pay the hyperscalers’ pricing.
We heard you! Today, we’re happy to announce the following new offerings on Frappe Cloud -

We have added 2 new cloud providers, Hetzner and DigitalOcean.

We have also enabled a Unified Server option for Application and Database.
With this launch, Frappe Cloud can now be run with (reasonably) good performance but at a much lower cost. These options are especially suitable for dev, test and demo environments (sometimes also prod environments, but with very light workloads). You should be able to halve your hosting cost (at least)!

A few important notes upfront (mostly what you would already know, but for the sake of completeness):

Hetzner offers lower cost, but fewer performance guarantees than AWS or OCI.

Hetzner has an option of “Shared instances”, which are cheaper than “Dedicated instances” but may show performance variability.

Some features that depend on AWS/OCI APIs (like autoscaling or server snapshots) are not available on Hetzner and DigitalOcean.
