Moving from trial to VirtualBox image

Hello all,

New to ERPNext. Have been trying out the online version and I'd like to install ERPNext on my machine to really get things going and finalize if I'm using this software for my manufacturing business.

I have almost zero experience and knowledge with Linux so bear with me. I downloaded VirtualBox and the image file and I can log in fine via localhost:8080.
Firstly, how do I go about changing that port? IIRC I did find some instructions online but the Linux part lost me.
Any help with this would be awesome.

Secondly, I have regular backups going to my dropbox account from the trial. How do I go about restoring that backup to the version installed on my machine?
Again, I believe I found the relevant instructions, but the Linux commands have me scratching my head.
I don't have a lot of data on the trial and still have my template sheets that I used, but I would rather figure out how to restore from backups now rather than when I actually need to.

Thanks very much guys, and apologies for the big post. Feel free to ask me embarrassing questions about my knowledge and (lack of) expertise in Linux.

- Adeel

Adeel,

Two realistic options. Get your hands dirty with Linux command line or hire a freelancer :) Or maybe contact your local Linux User Group (LUG) to help you get started.
