Multiple Items in Purchase Order

Hi,
I have just updated my ERPNext Account and after updating I noticed that there is a setting:
Settings to disallow same items to be entered multiple times in sales/purchase transactions

But, when I noticed the option was unticked and I was able to create a Purchase Order with duplicate item.

Is this a bug or my understanding regarding the same is wrong?
