Multiple options for each line item in sales document

Hi,
I have the following scenario. I need to have multiple options under a single Quotation / Sales Item.
For eg.

The client might have requested for AAA Battery.
I would like to send in Option 1. Energizer - with individual cost
Option 2 .Duracell - with individual cost

I would like to have it under the same document and not split it as different Quotations.

What would be an ideal way to handle this. If it requires development , I could do the same and maybe add it to the core as a feature?

You can just give both the items as separate line items and let the customer choose.
