Need advice on user permission

Hi guys.

Need advice on the minimum role permission needed for each of these users

  1. Sales
  2. Purchasing
  3. Hr
  4. Accounting

I tried assigning sales user role to a user and he couldnt create delivery or even invoice or payment. It can only create and submit sales order. Or am i misunderstanding the roles themselves

Also on purchase user role i encounter error when saving and submitting the purchase order

In the setup/user, in section Roles, click one of the role you want to select to see what permission a role gave. For an instance Purchase User role:

Start by reading the docs Role Based Permissions

And be aware too of Manager roles - say for example Sales User and Sales Manager.

In the 'Roles Permission Manager` and from Roles dropdown, select for eg Sales Manager.

That lists the DocTypes and the ‘standard’ permissions.
