Need Suggestions on Improving UI/UX for Estimation Workflows

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on a project related to construction and electrical estimating workflows, and I’m exploring how to make the UI/UX design more intuitive for end users. The main challenge is balancing functionality with simplicity since estimators often deal with complex data but still need a clean, fast, and easy-to-navigate interface.

I’d love to get your feedback on a few points:

  • How do you approach designing dashboards that handle large datasets without overwhelming the user?
  • What are some best practices for form layouts when users need to input multiple fields quickly?
  • Any recommendations for colour schemes or design systems that work well in data-heavy applications?
  • Examples of Frappe/ERP Next-based design improvements you’ve seen or implemented would be great.

I’m hoping to learn from the community’s experience and maybe exchange ideas that can benefit similar projects.
