New Doctype based on Core Doctype

Hey,

i want to add a new doctype called “partners” which should be based on the core doctype customer.

It should be used as a base doctype to extend as a new doctype, does erpnext/frappe has this functionality? or do i need to add new doctype and add all fields manually?

Hi,

You can Duplicate the Doctype, and it will add all fields, but it will not copy underlying code, you need to write the code for added functionality.
