New "If Owner" Permission


I’ve noticed that there is a new “If Owner” selection now under permissions.

Just wondering if anyone knows how does the permission fo “If Owner” works?


I was also wondering about the same.

From what I have figured out, if this option is checked, the relevant permissions are applicable only if the user is owner or creator of the document.

This is similar to the option “User” that was there earlier under a"Apply User Permissions"

Yeah @rasika2502 is correct. The rule will only apply in case the user is the owner.

This is towards “portalifying” the desk interface, to enable more collaboration with customers / suppliers, esp in case of project management, issue tracking etc.
