New status for Purchase Orders

Dear All,
I want to show the Purchase order status to “Confirmed and To Receive” as soon as i have updated a order confirmation number.
is there any way to do that?

Workflow can do that.

You need to examine the Workflow docs and videos a little bit.

I think you need 2 states for your purchase orders.
