We are currently on frappe 14 and are still using node 14.x. We also want to create our own build system for the frontend and want to use the latest possible node version. Officially I’ve only seen node 14/16 explicetly supported. But the use of node 20 would be very desireable. I tried to use node 20 and the building seems to work fine. Would love a community members opinion about this.
Could/Should we update to node 20?
As I’ve said, I know that Node 14/16 are officially explicitly supported by frappe. But wanted to know if other people work with newer versions nonetheless and if they had bad expierences with it. Node is only just for the build system right? So I dont see many fail possibilities and wanted to know if I’m overseeing something.
We are trying to update to frappe 15 this year and hopefully that is the latest moment where we can get rid of Node 14.
I’m using v20 in production.
