When updating ERPNext I get error that NodeJs is outdated. I am using ERPNext v13. is is recommended to upgrade and if yes to which version of Node? 16 or 18? Also would appreciate if can share how to update this.

Frappe requires node v14, I believe. I briefly ran into some package conflicts with v18, but I didn’t stop to investigate long so I can’t say much more. v16 is working fine for me across the board.
How to upgrade depends on the particularities of your system. You’d probably get better help on your distro’s forums than here.
