Not able to reserve stock in production plan V16

When i am creating production plan with finished Goods BOM and linked sub assembly BOM against the same, it is showing below error when reserving stock for the items mentioned in the BOM available in the warehouse.

If i untick the reserve stock option then it will allow me to submit the production plan or else it will not allow.

Yeah this smells like ERPNext losing track of sub assembly links, not your stock. That error usually pops when the system didn’t actually fetch or sync the sub assembly items into the plan, even if they exist in BOM. Try hitting “Get Items from BOM” again or just recreate the plan clean, I’ve had cases where one stale reference breaks the whole reserve step. Also double check default warehouse on sub assemblies, if that’s empty or mismatched it silently fails and then throws this random message, super annoying lol.

Yes tried doing the same again with again creating BOM and mapping sub assembly BOM against the same. It seems it is a bug right now in version 16. It would be really helpful if any one can test it in their 16 version to check if this is working or not.

Steps:

  • Create BOM for finished product and sub-assembly product and map the assembly BOM in the final product BOM
  • Update stocks for sub-assembly and raw materials in ERP and create production plan for finished product
  • Tick Mark Reserve Stock before submitting the production plan
  • Please check after the above steps whether it allows to reserve the stock or giving same reference error.

Are you trying with the same production plan or a new one each time?

The first time itself when i created production plan with sub assemblies it didn’t allowed me to reserve stock mentioning reference as missing. If i don’t tick reserve stock then it accepted production plan submittion.

Any update on this please

Hi,

I have fixed the same here. It will be available to use with the next ERPNext release ie. Friday.

Thanks,
Mihir
