This is Vinayak from ideaflask.
While setting up the email in erpNext, the following error is thrown.
SMTPException: SMTP AUTH extension not supported by server.
Can anybody help me on this?

Maybe the SMTP software of your service provider is very old and not updated or it does not allow using it from outside the server.
Try other service like gmail or mandrill.

I also had big troubles configuring my email, and it was CSF firewall.
Now it works flawlessly.
