Hey Frappe Community
,
I have been working extensively for the last 2 years to improve the developer experience and build a production-grade hybrid cloud for Frappe.
In this journey, we had to develop numerous foundational tools — starting from Frappista, the Frappe Package Manager (FPM), and most importantly, the Frappe Kubernetes Operator — the heart of our open cloud architecture.
Today, all of this engineering comes together. We are officially opening the Public Beta of our Open Hybrid Cloud platform: Vyogo Cloud Center (vyogo.cloud).
Why Vyogo Cloud? Frappe as a First-Class Citizen
Vyogo Cloud was built from the ground up to give open-source apps — with Frappe getting first-citizen treatment — a modern, cost-effective, zero-DevOps cloud platform.
What Makes It Different?
1. No Container Builds for Benches (Powered by FPM)
In traditional container setups, every app update or custom fork triggers a heavy Docker build and asset recompilation cycle. Thanks to Frappe Package Manager (FPM) immutability, applications are synced into running environments in seconds without container builds or asset rebuilds. Bonus? No impact on any running sites.
2. On-Demand Worker Pods (Stop Paying for Idle RAM)
Background workers shouldn’t burn costly compute when idle. Vyogo dynamically spins up background workers on demand based on events from scheduler and removes them once processing is done. Reduction of 30% of compute noticed.
3. Simplified, Resilient Backups
Automated and on-demand snapshots to any S3 configured per site.
4. Native PostgreSQL Support
Deploying cutting-edge Frappe applications? We natively support PostgreSQL for develop branch apps alongside standard MariaDB.
5. Open Marketplace: fpm.vyogo.tech
Explore our open repository of pre-packaged Frappe apps. Pick what you need, install it on your site in seconds, and eliminate asset build drift completely.
6. Run Anywhere: Vanilla Kubernetes & Red Hat OpenShift
Retain 100% data sovereignty. Deploy directly in our managed cloud, Bring Your Own Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean, Hetzner), or run it on-premise on bare-metal Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift (OpenShift Marketplace listing is WIP!).
7. But wait, what about local dev envs and VMs? Meet vybench!
Dev-to-cloud parity matters. vybench is our tool to set up complete Frappe developer environments on any Linux machine via snap/apt, and on macOS via Homebrew (brew install).
What’s Coming Next
We are just getting started. On the immediate roadmap:
Free Developer Sandboxes & Ephemeral PR environments
Managed Services for your instances - Email, SMS, SSO and more.
DevSecOps & automated vulnerability scanning for developers
Open marketplace for developers to list their apps in StoreFront market place.
Join the Public Beta - Its Free
The Public Beta is live now! We want Frappe developers, agency builders, and enterprise users to test it out, push its limits, and tell us how we can make it even better.
Get Started Here: https://vyogo.cloud
Available Beta Regions:
India (Mumbai — Live)
Europe - Coming soon
Middle East - Coming soon.
Please take it for a spin, create a site, try deploying an app, and share your unfiltered thoughts, bug reports, and feedback below or directly with our team.
