Packaging, size ranges, assortments in footwear company

Hello!

We are a footwear design and distribution company. We have wholesale/distribution and retail shops. We also have several companies and external parters across several countries, some working with distribution, some retail, as well as franchise partners. We hope to bring the entire enterprise under one roof, sharing data about sales results in one database etc.

Our main product is footwear. We work with samples, collect pre orders and then place orders to manufacturers. We also sell from stock.

In wholesale/distribution we sell by cartons. Lets say a product BA6123-1 (-1 is a colour variation of the product) has sizes from 36-41. We sell this product to customers in a bundled carton of 10 (pack) comprised of 1x36, 2x37, 2x38, 2x39, 2x40, 1x41 (an assortment). A product could come in different assortments as well. Usually this information is essential to a retailer who buys from us. We present this info in excel or sales order as 36-41/122221/10. We need to track info of the weight of the shoe, but also the weight of the carton (shoe x #of pairs) when we get quotations from transportation companies.

For our retail shops and online store, the cartons are opened up and we sell a particular size, for example size 37. We often replenish sizes according to which sizes were sold.

Would ERPnext be able to handle such complexities? Would you be able to help me or offer me a solution of how to set it up in the most efficient/effective manner?

Would ERPnext be able to handle such complexities?

Yes!

I think you should go through the entire manual once and set up a free account and create few transactions…
