In our manufacturing setup (engineer to order) we mostly have to manufacture some parts with multiple operation involved. We perform in-house operations but have to outsource for some operations. Can we do this in some way in ERPNext?

You can use Track Semi Finished Goods, it allows subcontracting selected operations.

I cannot see this option in BOM DocType. Also couldn’t find anything relevant in Manufacturing Setting. Can you guide me please!

For partial subcontracting, I’d keep the material issued and the quantity actually received clearly separated. That makes it much easier to track what’s still with the subcontractor and avoid closing the order before the remaining quantity is accounted for.
Yes, this looks like a good use case for ERPNext’s subcontracting flow. You can keep the in-house operations in the BOM and handle the outsourced steps through subcontracting, while tracking the work between stages. The semi-finished item approach also seems useful when different operations are done by different suppliers.
