Pdf creation (PO) does not get value out of PO series

It seems there is a bug regarding the PDF creation.
I do not know how you order items that are not in the inventory. We order very many things that we do not need as items in ERPNext. So I was adviced to create a dummy item Misc. and adapt the item name when I order. I basically works I can just change the Item name and it will save it. BUT! when I create a PO as pdf the item name of the Databasis will appear.
So I do not know if I can call it a bug, maybe it’s a saftey feature, but what can I do to get ite item description into the pdf?

Hi,

Just Customize the Print Format and remove the Item code from the Print Format and add Description field in place of Item code.

Thank you so much for your help! I just printed the wrong field. So I edited a field that was not shown.
Such easy solution.

If I get also good answer to my other question, that would be so nice. It should also be very easy to answer.

How do I get a value of other doytype

For some reason, the quotation number of the supplier quotation is not linked to the purchase order. It makes in my view sense to put this value into the print format of the PO. How can I create a field that gets from the linked supplier quotation the quotation number? I tried with a link field, but I only managed to get the different supplier quotations as options not the quotation number. I would be very thankful for any help
