how to copy file/data from base machine(win 10) to virtual box image?
I have tried shared folder but its not working, can anybody share steps?
Maybe share what instructions you followed and debug that?

I seldom use either environment so this is just general advice…
Set port forwarding on your VM for SSH (port 22), install winSCP and connect to your VM on IP 127.0.0.1, login with your server login and you can copy files with drag&drop

it looks like you dont have set an ip for your localhost.
try localhost instead of 127.0.0.1
