on customer address in sales invoice print format i need to get city | postal code | state | country – in a single line. currently it is appears as
City
State
Postal Code
Country
how do i achieve this

You can adjust the address format in Address Template.

Please check the doc.

i tried updating India template & i am referring to the field doc.address_display of invoice doc. no luck it still picks the old format

Please refresh and verify, as this is the only method to set or customize the address format.

and remove the address and again pick the address and check.

right, but remove the address and again select the address.

i created a new invoice and it came properly in the new invoice, i think it does not apply to older documents. i am fine with that

It’s not changed in the old transaction. It will apply on the newer transaction.
