Production Plan - Link between root and sub-assembly Work Orders

When the Production Plan creates Work Orders for the sub-assemblies, is there a link saved between the ‘root’ Work Order and the sub-assembly ones ?

I want to know the root Work Order depends on which sub Work Orders.

Within a Work Order, each Work Order Item representing a sub-assembly could get assigned the sub Work Order name that was created by the Production Plan?

Perhaps on a related note, I see there is a View>Work Order Tree menu option in Production Plan

But it gives me this error:

What is this supposed to show ?

good feature request. in SAP it is called collective order, it is kind of work order tree.
