Production setup and Development setup on single machine?

I read we can install bench with production setup and development setup.

The question is:

  • Can we install production setup and development setup on the same machine ?

  • Is development setup only for those who want to develop the bench ? When do I have to install development setup ?

You can, but I wouldn’t recommend that kind of setup, because they would clash with each other.

You use the development setup when you want to develop your own apps using frappe or develop on frappe or erpnext. Refer to the table on the readme regarding the differences between the two.
