Profit and Loss Report (Based On Sales and Purchase-Trading P&l)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to generate a profit and loss report in ERPNext based on purchase and sales data. Currently, the system provides profit and loss information based on the cost of sales, but I need a report that reflects trading profit and loss, directly tied to purchase and sales transactions.

Is there an existing option or method to obtain this type of report, or would custom development be required? Any guidance or suggestions on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

You can check the Gross Profit Report under Accounting.

Dear Divyesh,

Thank you for your suggestion. I reviewed the Gross Profit Report under Accounting as you recommended. However, I noticed that the format does not align with the one I need.

For further clarification, I have attached an image showing the format I am referring to. Could you please review it and let me know if there’s a way to adjust the report accordingly?
