[Proposal] Ahmedabad Working Group

Why this group?

Ahmedabad is already known for its strong ERP ecosystem, with a large community of Odoo users and developers. In recent years, the ERPNext/Frappe community here has also been steadily growing. To support this momentum, it makes sense to start a local working group where we can meet, learn, and collaborate.

Why I can manage this

I’ve been working in the Frappe/ERPNext ecosystem for several years, leading 90+ ERPNext implementations across industries. Along with that, I’ve built multiple custom apps and SaaS products on Frappe, including mobile solutions, dashboards, and AI-powered tools.
Through Nesscale Solutions, I also mentor teams, contribute on the Frappe Forum, and actively engage with the global community. With this background, I believe I can provide direction and ensure the Ahmedabad group grows consistently.

What we want to achieve

  • Knowledge Sharing: Exchange learnings on ERPNext/Frappe implementations, apps, and best practices.
  • Community Support: Help new members, students, and businesses adopt ERPNext successfully.
  • Local Collaboration: Connect freelancers, companies, and enthusiasts for projects and partnerships.
  • Meetups & Events: Organize quarterly meetups and workshops in Ahmedabad/Gujarat.
  • Contributions: Encourage local developers to contribute back to the ecosystem.

Who can join

  • ERPNext/Frappe developers and consultants.
  • Businesses using or exploring ERPNext.
  • Students and professionals curious about open-source ERP.

How we will operate

  • Discussions and updates will be posted here on the forum for transparency.
  • Quarterly meetups (in-person).
  • Volunteer-led: anyone can suggest topics or host sessions.
  • I will lead this initiative, but I’m looking for 1–2 more people from the community to co-run this group with me.

Looking forward to building a strong Frappe community in Ahmedabad together!

This is a great initiative! Count me in.

I’ve been actively working with ERPNext for manufacturing and multi-location businesses, leading several large-scale implementations across India and abroad. I strongly believe Ahmedabad has the right mix of developers, businesses, and students to make this community vibrant.

Happy to contribute towards knowledge sharing, mentoring, and even hosting or co-running meetups. Looking forward to collaborating and strengthening the Frappe/ERPNext ecosystem together in Ahmedabad.

Thanks @Maheshwari_Bhavesh for the initiative. In my opinion local groups should be part of Community sections. Maybe it can be part of @buildwithhussain 's new app Buzz, where you can create a community and add events.

Working Groups are for collaborating on specific projects. Not sure what others think.

Agree, that makes sense. We will explore that option.
