Hi all,
I have a particular problem that’s the biggest issue in our industry.
I need to be able to quote a product based on custom width and height, which is unknown until the consultation with the consumer, but the base cost is found in a table.
For example:
If I’m quoting a window blind is 22.5 inches wide by 47.25 inches in height, then it would pull the cost form the cell at the intersection of the column 24 (width) and the row (height). Until the window in the home is measured, I cannot give a cost for quoting.
How can I use a table style variant/attribute to derive a price? This only the base price if no other options are selected.
To further complicate the issue, I would need to add other variants/attributes like color, control, size, etc where some of these variants have a $0 cost while others have specific cost based on the options selected.
I have tried to figure this out for many years and it is highly dependent on each particular end customer’s situation/request to determine the custom price for every line item quoted.
Any insight would be extremely appreciated.
TIA
Dean
