Question on Naming Series

I had wanted customer name on the naming series for quotation, but when I put in customer ID in the naming series, it shows as follows -

SAL-QTN-2022-05-CUSTOMER_ID-00001

So I deleted it, and went back to the old naming series, and it still prints as follows -

SAL-QTN-2022-05-CUSTOMER_ID-00001

Can someone help how I get the actual customer name in the naming series? Thanks.

For naming series of field name enter in autoname following :
field:customer_name (field: field_name)

I changed the naming series to
SAL-QTN-.YYYY.-.MM.-customer_name-
and it still does not show…

don’t use SAL-QTN-.YYYY.-.MM. this direct do changes in autoname box :
field:customer_name
