Raising multiple sales order from a single quote

hi guys,

some customers use the same quote to issue multiple sales orders specially for services.

the system allows the creation of multiple Sales orders but is this the right way to do it?

Yes. You can create multiple sales orders from a single quotation and the system will change the status of the quotation to “ordered” once you create sales order for all the items.

thank you for your response, just to be clear kindly assume this scenario, we have submitted a quote for 10K then the client issue first sales order for 10K again after sometime another sales order for additional 10k

Sorry. Then better you have to create two quotations. Because first one is already ordered. Now he is giving another sales order. It will help you when you generate quotation related reports.
