Unfortunately that is difficult because not all financial transactions are tagged against Cost Centers. What some customers do is create a Cost Center for each project. That way you can track purchase and sales invoices, journal entries (expenses) directly against a Cost Center.
We will keep in mind for future though.

It will be great if we can have something "Financial Analytics" with Project instead of Cost Centers.
Or, even better, just add Project drop list beside Cost Centers in "Financial Analytics"
Any chance? :)

You can create a simple report for Item using the Report button (top right corner in the list view). Then, display the field "Tags" via Pick Columns and filter based on that field using the "Like" filter.
If you want to create a query report, you can use "_user_tags" field in the query.
Thanks,
Anand.

We are developing a report which will show all bank/cash transactions in a period grouped by account. Based on that report, you can categorize those accounts and make cash flow statements.
