Can i install version 12 then backup sql data from version 10 and restore to version 12 database? Does anything this will work? Am not able to install version 10 to a new server. Is it even possible to install version 10?
yes it can work both ways.
with Version 10 Backup, 1 patch was not working, you just need to skip that. i dont remember the exact patch name but that was not imp for us.
Ok i will try restore from backup to version 12. And post my result.
