Salary Expense Account

I have a questions regarding the Salary Slip creation
Upon salary slip creation, I don’t see any ledger entry regarding the earnings & deductions account
Should I use the Payroll Entry method instead of creating Salary Slip manually?
In which, later on it will create an entry on the Payroll Payable account and the Bank Account made for payment?

That’s what I faced sometimes back and I resolved to be using payroll entry method
