I have some questions regarding the salary calculations and inner workings in the HR module. It seems that the attendance registration is only for reference, it doesn’t affect salary calculation at all. Is that correct?
Moreover, it seems that the LWP is the only value that would make ERPNext deduct from an employee’s salary. Would you please provide information on that as well?
This is very important, because here in the Middle East attendance directly affects the employees net monthly salary. And I currently evaluating the system for implementation in my own company as well as others.

Yes, you are right. Attendance records are directly not considered for salary calculation, instead it considers "Leave" and "Holiday" records. Leaves are calculated based on "Leave Type", in leave type master you can mention whether that leave type is without pay or not, by checking "Is LWP" field.
