Sales Order requires Warehouse permission

Why does Sales Order now suddenly require warehouse permission? A sales order has no transactional impact to inventory.

Laurence,

Items get reserved for a warehouse via Sales Order. --- can you give additional permissions to Sales Users to your warehouses?

Another user raised this issue - and we thought it makes sense. Is this okay for you?

best,
Rushabh

Yes I supposed we can. But what's the long-term intention in applying permissions at the sales order level?

I can't imagine a scenario where this is useful except if we are going to totally restrict access to the warehouse, including the ability to view stock levels for a particular warehouse. In other words, a warehouse will not exist in the eyes of a user unless specifically authorized.  At the moment, this doesn't work this way and a sales order processor doesn’t really care what the warehouse is as long as the order is entered successfully.

If we're going to continue restricting warehouse at sales order form, can we also have this restricted at the sales invoice level?
