Sales Person Contact Data on Quotation

Hi ERPNext/Frappe Community,

i am new to ERPNext and just started evaluating the software to use it for a business which has not ERP at all up to now.

My first customization are made to the Quotation Print Layouts.
I want to connect a Quotation to a Sales Person and want to show the name, email and mobile on the quotation.
I could find some documentation, where its implemented for the sales invoice but not for quotations.

What do i have to do in order to achive this?

Field Mapping

You first need to map the information you want in the quotation doctype, do this under Customer Form instead of directly in the doctype so you keep your changes after a system update:

  1. Search for Customize Form in the awesome bar
  2. Select Quotation
  3. Under “Address & Contact”, add custom fields for phone and email, type data
  4. for both fields, scroll down to “Fetch From” and search for company_contact_person
  5. on the second field, select the field you want to map: phone, email, etc.
  6. repeat for any other custom fields

Print Form

Once you have successfully mapped the fields you need into your quotes, you need to update your printing format.

  1. Type “Print Format” in the awesome bar and select the “Print Format List”
  2. Look for “Quotes”
  3. Click the button “Edit Format” in the top right corner
  4. The fields you just create should be available in the list to the left, use the filter on top of the list to find them easily. Keep in mind that they will appear with the name you give them in the previous step (customize form), so make sure you name them in a clear manner (i.e. company contact phone/email)
  5. place your custom fields wherever you want them appear in the printed file
  6. Save

You should be good to!
