I want one profile can edit or see only selling prices for items and another profile can only edit or see buying price for items.
I tried permission manager and gave item price doc type for purchase master manager role read, edit, make new and report permissions. But this profile still see item prices on "item prices list" and "Report: Item Price - Item-wise Price List Rate".
How can I manage this profile to see only buying prices for items? Or for another profile to see only selling prices for items?
Do you have any advice to handle this situation?
Thanks,
Ali

Setting restriction for Item Price based on Price List should be helpful.
After setting condition in Permission Manager for user's Role, you should create User Property and define which user can access which Price List.
Can you share image of permission restriction setting via via http://imgur.com?

However, he will be able to see Price List for Buying, but Price List master as such doesn't carry any information which should be restricted/hidden. Also, bydesign, Buying Price List is not selectable in the selling transactions. Hence, restriction on Item Price should be suffice.
Hope this helps.

Umair, if you are still around, how might someone accomplish the exact same permission restriction in ERPNext v12? I need to restrict Sales User role from viewing Standard Buying Price List while allowing them to view Selling Price Lists. The permission system is different now and I can’t see how to set the “conditions”.
Can you explain how to do this in v12. All I can figure out is how to restrict Price List (master) which then makes selling price lists also restricted from view.
