Serial number in Delivery note

I had problem with serial number while making delivery note. When i create delivery note from sales order system automatically assign serial number to product, but I want to change the serial number as actual delivered serial number is different, so i select the other serial number from Add serial number but after saving the delivery note the serial number changed to auto selected one.

You can change this from stock setting as uncheck option highlighted below.
