I have been using ERPNext Version 9 for a few years. We are moving to Version 15 and starting to track items with Serial Numbers now. I’ve imported a number of serial numbers for various products. However many of our products can be converted to a different one. Is there an easy way when I do a repack that we can transfer the serial number from one item to another?
I don’t see a way this can be done, but i haven’t been using V15 for too long yet.
Any help is appreciated.

A Serial Number registered with a stock item under stock ledger cannot be transferred, consumed and converted for any other item at all. Item code is the primary key and those serial numbers are associated with it particularly cannot be used interchangeably with other items.
You can consume it either way by selling, scrapping or processed during manufacturing to take out of the inventory. There is no other way to translate or convert items into any other associated records.
