Setup ERPNext on Google Cloud VM instance

Hello guys,
I just want to share my setup steps that works.

-create a new VM instance , using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (ubuntu-1804-bionic-v20211206),
Under Firewall section-check Allow HTTP traffic and Allow HTTPS traffic
-open the instance in browser window
-run commands as follows:

<user>@instance-1:sudo su
root@instance-1:apt-get update
root@instance-1:apt-get upgrade
root@instance-1:export LC_ALL=C.UTF-8
root@instance-1:wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/frappe/bench/master/playbooks/install.py
root@instance-1:apt-get install python3-pip
root@instance-1:python3 -m pip install --upgrade pip
root@instance-1:exit
<user>@instance-1:export LC_ALL=C.UTF-8
<user>@instance-1:sudo python3 install.py --production
  • when it finished it shown message: Bench + Frappe + ERPNext has been successfully installed!

  • now you can open a browser and key in the External IP of your instance

Hope it may useful for you.
