I was hoping to get some help for other users form canada regarding the set up of the GST tax. I’m getting an error during my testing and not sure how to fix.
In processing a sale I get the error “Balance for Account GST - Tay must always be Debit”, not sure what this means.

go into accounts>chart of accounts>expand your chart of accounts>select your GST account>
click open the account>right beside the currency, to the right of it, is a field called “balance must be”
leave that field blank and save, that should solve your problem,
