Short item descriptions in Quote / Sales Order

Hi,

Is it possible to shorten the item description in a quotation and sales order to the first to lines of the total item description.

Whenever I make a sales invoice the entire description is posted as well.

You can set “Print Hide” to description via Customize Form in Quotation Item

I have tested your suggestion, but then no item information is printed anymore on the quotation form. What I actually need is a shortened description. Is there a way to select the first 50 words of the description field?

Hello,

Shortening Description is not configurable for now. Perhaps you should only enter Description with you want fetched in the transaction. For longer description, you can use another standard field in item master (check Website section), or insert custom field in the item master.
