[solved] 'execute' function

Hi all,

could anybody tell me what is the relevance of ‘execute’ function in frappe/erpnext?
Or is it like other normal fucntion definition?
if not when is it being called?
example: profit_and_loss_statements.py.
it has the function def execute.

Execute is the function that the report engine will lookup in the backed controller of the report to get the data of the report.

For some reports, this is required for build the report content, that is the case of profit and loss statement
