I am facing an issue in ERPNext Healthcare (v16) with the Inpatient Medication Order doctype. After creating a new inpatient medication order and linking it with the patient, patient encounter, inpatient record, and healthcare practitioner, the document gets saved successfully but remains in Draft status. The Submit button does not appear, and only the Save option is available. Because of this, I am unable to submit the medication order, and it is not fetched in Inpatient Medication Entry for administration. I have not configured any custom workflow and am using the default setup. I would like to know whether this is expected behavior in v16, a permission or workflow-related issue, or a possible bug, and how the medication order can be submitted so it becomes available for inpatient medication entry.
I think the Inpatient Medication Order only works with Encounter. Have you checked the permissions? The Medication Request is created automatically when a Medication is prescribed via Patient Encounter.
