Stock Entry Purpose Repack

Hi

Can some body please elaborate how the Repack option of Stock Entry works?

My scenario is that I have items A, B, C, D as individual items in stock.
Also Item B is made by removing C and adding D to A.
I converted 3 units of Item A in to Item B by removing Item C and adding Item D.

How can I achieve this kind of Stock Transfer by using Repack function?

Please help.
