Student Attendance Tool permissions issue for instructor

Having above notification if an instructor wants to mark attendance of students.
Instructor has already been attached to an employee and employee has been attached with a user.
What i am missing here?
And why we cannot select an Employee or a user as instructor?

As per the standard permissions, only user with “Academic User” role has permision to create Student Attendance. Two ways to fix this issue.

  1. Assign “Academic User” role to the instructor.


  1. Create new permission rule to let other user also have permission to create Student Attendance.

But one thing, how we can mark an attendance on a date or time when there is no course scheduled at that date and time?

Attendance can be marked against Course Schedule only. You can schedule course ad-hoc and then create Student Attendance against it.
