Ok after a brief review am really glad I saw this! A very nicely functioning , simple app!
I am an OpenERP fan for its search feature! I am able to type in an item’s code , or name in the same field! More over “Machine 51” will be picked up if I simply type 51! Its really a great search tool And I would love to see the same in ERPNext!
Information on the current mechanism would be great for me to start digging

Currently, you can search in a specific doctype. Doctype means Model in terms of MVC architecture.
To search, Click on Document(from top menu) → Search; select Doctype, Field and query
So this version is the existing version ? Or is it the completely restructured one? If not the new one then where can I find the code for that.

If you see the iPad like UI, it is the latest.
The search thing is not implemented yet I guess, (issue is not closed)
