Task status can't be changed from TODO

Hello,

i want project manager to assign task to employee. when employee completes the task and updates it status to close. project manager should see that task status closed from task list page.

Issue is, Project manager(ROLE- Projects Manager) has created task and assigned to Employee(ROLE-Employee). Employee changes assigned task status from OPEN to CLOSE from TODO page.

When project manager see the status of task from task page. status of task which was assigned to employee still be OPEN.

NOTE: Projects Manager and Employee has same permission for doctype Projects.

is it a bug ? Any solution ?

If you close and save the record, it should reflect everywhere. Can you confirm?

This is not working for me. If I close and save a ToDo, it doesnt change the status of the task. This is in ver 5.0.
