The popular YouTube channel Fireship (3.27M subscribers) just released a video titled “Paying for software is stupid… 10 free and open-source SaaS replacements”.

In this video, ERPNext is showcased as a free alternative to Salesforce. Video reached 350K views in just 10 hours. ERPNext positioned alongside other major open-source solutions. I think this is the biggest achievement of Frappe in 2024.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised seeing them pick erpnext over odoo, and they even gave a shout out to frappe framework.

Odoo organized an event in Istanbul this summer and in Bursa this September. Also had an ad in Time-square New York this summer. They spent plenty of their marketing budget.
