Can you provide a link to the product? There are several integration patterns that can work but it depends on what APIs the device exposes.
It can be connected to WiFi and thus use some kind of polling-style integration. It appears to use a proprietary management software but is also compatible with Excel. That likely means that the data is stored on disk as a CSV. If the device can be accessed via SSH, that means you have several options to atomically create employee checkins or attendance from it.
Based on what I’m reading, I think that it makes sense to continue using the USB stick to move the data, especially since the device is inexplicably limited to five users.
