Currently my company is using WordPress for our website but we want to move away from it. I suppose we could have some custom plugins written for it but I feel like we are already using WordPress beyond it’s intended purpose (like using a hammer to screw in a screw - wrong tool) and I would like to move into something more flexible.
We migrated to ERPNext recently and so far I have been very impressed with the system. The simplicity of the framework yet ability to do so much. Responsiveness is super quick. All in all a solid system.
Our product line is very customizable (think along the lines of Shutterfly). Every product is unique to each customer. The new site would need to allow for user interaction to specify their requirements and put it together in a proof that they can visually see. I have no doubt Frappe could accomplish this with some custom JavaScript work on the front end.
I have searched these forums but I don’t see a whole lot of people using Frappe for company websites. Seems like biggest use case are the apps developed by Frappe like ERPNext. My questions is, why is that? Is there something I am missing that makes Frappe a bad choice?
