Translation ERPNEXT locally?

how we can translate the system locally ? we tried already to translate many things, all selected options and custom text is being translated but not the system translations (such as module name, or in side of the module text…etc)

For translations, use

These are updated weekly/bi-weekly

@rmehta but cant we translate locally? because some translations we have to use different names that not everyone use…
if we change the translation in csv in translations folder it will be translated right?

@Christian_Barraud he means this error

still no update , you mean next release v7 ?

I logged in to

selected us english and tried to edit
cheque which is spelt check.

Only i can not edit any words, it only presents the option to verify, and that does not work as well.

ERPnext have a local translation tool type ctrl + G and type “new translation”.

but if you want to contribute world translations type ctrl + G and type “Open translation tool”, search what you want to translate > Suggest > Contribute translations.

now how verify faster? go to ERPnext translate web, create an account, click in “become a verifier”, switch to desktop, Translations > verify translations.
filter by your language, find you translation request, click, very and done

I agree.

In Education module, there is Student label. In Indonesian language, student has many translations and each translation used for different grades.

For example:

  • School grade: Student => Siswa
  • University/College: Student => Mahasiswa
  • Course: Student => Peserta Kursus

In Indonesia, we can’t generalize those words. We can’t use Mahasiswa for school grade and otherwise. But in Erpnext, there are only available one translation for Student label that is Mahasiswa. It feels weird if we use erpnext with education module for schools or course institution. It just one example, there are other translations that has the same issue.
